What's up, Chuck?

Hi everyone!

Did you have a good weekend?

Last week hubby had to work some pretty long hours, so Chuck and I really looked forward to the weekend.  Thank goodness everything was low key and relaxing.  We ended up visiting some nearby relatives and shopping for supplies for a new project...

Here are some photos from last week:

Chuck and I continue to really enjoy music time at the library.

Thanks Vanessa for taking such a lovely photo!

We celebrated St. Patrick's day:
I think Chuck looks good with a beard, no?

Leprechaun?  Nope.  It's hubby!

And this is why toddler time rocks....
It's so sweet how Chuck's face lights up whenever he sees this little girl.
Hope your week starts off well.... (and if not, well, there are only four more days till the weekend... woo hoo!)  Today I'm taking Chuck to the dentist for his first checkup. *Gulp.* We'll see how that goes....

The Craft Fair

was this past Saturday.  Oi vey!  I never realized how much effort it takes to design a product, make a product, package a product, set up shop, and then sell a product.  Yikes.  We're still recovering from all the preparations.

Tita Tina did pretty well selling her paintings.  I had some sales (mostly from family members- thank you for coming by and supporting us!), and I made enough to just cover 90% of my material costs.  Wowzers.  For all of you who do this in real life, I salute  you!  Truly, crafting is not for the weak.

All in all, I'm really glad we tried something new.  Now I can check something off the old bucket list.  I'd like to try this venture out another time in the future... but next time I'll think of different crafts to sell.... Hrmm....

Oh yeah- here are some photos from the fair!

What's up, Chuck?

Lately Chuck and I have been going outside to feed the birds and blow bubbles.
These are some of my favorite moments of the day.

We ♥ music class

You know when you're in the middle of doing something you love.... and you just don't want to stop because you love it so much?  That's how I feel during our weekly music classes.

Seeing the kids' responses to the music just makes me so happy.

Special thanks to quick thinking Elizabeth for capturing this special moment on her iPhone.

Cowboy party

When we first moved back to New Jersey, I was afraid that we wouldn't find community.
Silly me.

Last week our toddlers group held a cowboy party for the kids.
Costume?  Party?
Yup.  I've found my kind of people.

Psst- Tomorrow I'll share how I crapted Baby Chuck's cowboy costume from felt, cardboard, and a cake tin.

Liberty Science Center

This year my Christmas gift to hubby was a trip to nearby Liberty Science Center.  Before going, I was a bit worried that Baby Chuck wouldn't find the experience very fun.

It turns out I shouldn't have worried at all because he loved it.  There were tons of knobs, doodads and thingamajiggers for him to yank, twist, and push.

Score!  Two thumbs up for this wall of buttons!

Look ma!  I'm touching germs

We also loved these twisty knobs

Party time

Last week a couple of kids in our Toddler Time group celebrated their second birthday.  Their mommies were so nice and brought cake, cookies, and a whole bunch of birthday fun to our group.

You know what?  Even though it's super exhausting to be a mommy, one of the perks is that I get to see the world through a set of fresh, new eyes.  Through Baby Chuck's eyes, everything is new and amazing.  Take a look at the birthday hat and bubbles, for example.  Baby Chuck just loved them both.

Blue hands and feet

How was your weekend?

Good, I hope.

Hubby, Chuck, and I have been fighting a nasty bug.  I think Baby Chuck got it around Thanksgiving and then he passed it onto hubby.  My immune system fought a good fight, but I finally succumbed sometime last week.

Blech. *Sniff sniff*

Baby Chuck and I stayed home for quite a bit, but we pushed ourselves to go to Toddler Time.  This Friday they did a hand and foot painting activity.  I think the children enjoyed being artists for a day.

Happy Thanksgiving

A couple of days ago hubby and I finally opened up our Thankfulness Jar.  The slips of paper point out that we were thankful for three things in life:

(1)  Friends and family
(2)  Sleep
(3)  Heat and food

Hmmm...

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with friends, family, good food, and long turkey-induced naps. I'll be stuffing my face and snapping lots of photos to upload next week.  To keep the Thanksgiving spirit rolling, here are some photos from our Toddler Time Thanksgiving party.  Once again the teachers were super sweet and threw a great bash for the kids.

 Happy Thanksgiving!
