Make Easter Egg Weebles

This Easter we had a lot of fun hanging out with family and friends.  I kept meaning to take lots of photos.... but I was having too much fun doing activities with the kids.  I'll try to upload my one or two photos this week.  Today I just wanted to show you this really quick DIY Easter Egg Weeble Craft.  Yup, you read that right. I made Chuck a couple of cute little Easter Egg Weebles from plastic Easter Eggs.  They're weighted, so they don't fall down.  (Scroll down for a video of Chuck trying to run them over with a Jeep... yup... that's my kid.)

If you still have your plastic eggs lying around, you might like making these little guys too.  Keep reading to find out more!

Materials Needed to Make Weebles from Easter Eggs:

  • Plastic eggs
  • Pipe cleaners
  • Scissors
  • Felt
  • Sharpie
  • Hot Glue gun
  • 4 nickles (per egg)
  • Packing Tape

Directions Needed to Make Weebles from Easter Eggs:

Use coins to weigh down your DIY Easter Egg Weebles

1.  Tape down 4 nickles to the inside of your Easter Egg to weight it down.  (You could probably also glue them inside, but I wanted my nickles back.)

2.  If you want to make the chicken, pig (or even another animal with ears like a bunny or bear), poke your pipe cleaner through the top holes of the egg. Twist the ends together inside to make sure that it sits securely on top of the egg.

Use a sharpie, pipe cleaner and felt to decorate your Easter egg weebles

3.  Use a sharpie marker to draw on details.  Use hot glue to glue on your felt pieces.

And that's it.  Now you've got some animal (and cacti) weebles!)
