Giant Paper Bag Frankenstein Preschool Craft

Even though it doesn't feel like fall here in California, my preschooler and I are already starting to do our fall crafts. We have a ton of large grocery sized bags and plastic bags lying around, so we made our very own grumpy GIANT paper bag Frankenstein from everyday materials. Isn't he adorable? Keep on reading to see how we did it.

Let's Make A Giant Paper Bag Frankenstein

(A Fun Halloween Preschool Craft)

Ha! I love his grumpy face. Doesn't that just perfectly describe Halloween 2020?!?

Materials Needed:

  • Grocery Bag
  • Acrylic Craft Paint (You can also use Tempera too if you're afraid of getting too messy and not being able to wash the colors off.  We just covered the table and were careful.)
  • Stickers (optional)
  • Staples
  • Plastic Bags (Or anything else to stuff your Frankenstein)
  • Construction Paper
  • Glue Stick
  • Pencil

Let's make a Paper Bag Frankenstein!

1. Draw your face + body onto the bag.
2. Paint your face, hair, and body.
3. Once paint is dry, cut out facial features from construction paper and glue them on. Add stickers for more flare!
4. Stuff your Frankenstein's body with plastic bags. Staple the top shut.

5. Cut out strips for the arms and legs. Staple or glue those to your body. (We accordion-folded our legs for some more fine motor practice.)

And you're all set! We made this recycled Halloween craft over the span of a couple of days, which was perfect for keeping my preschooler's attention. :)
