Okay, I'm *guessing* you made strawberry fruit salsa. No recipes!? Please post!
Your discarded bits, however, are quite lovely. Makes me think of God prunes us. Even the discarded bits have a purpose. Composting produces good soil for even greater growth!
:) you said just what i was thinking (and wanting to say but was too sleep-deprived to even put down coherently.) thanks mb.
here are my mish-mash recipes
strawberry salsa: - cut up a bunch of strawberries - add in some frozen corn (that's been microwaved and then drained to remove the water) - add a handful of chopped up cilantro leaves (washed thoroughly) - squeeze in some lime juice - grate in a little bit of onion - add salt and pepper - add in a splash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar - mix, taste, and adjust flavors to your liking - let it sit in fridge for the flavors to merry before serving
and corn, tomato, and avocado salad: - microwave and then drain frozen corn, place in a bowl - add in a pint of cherry tomatoes (cut in half) - add a handful of chopped up cilantro leaves (washed thoroughly) - add in a chopped up avocado - add in a splash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar - grate in a little bit of onion - squeeze in some lime juice - add salt and pepper - mix, taste, and adjust flavors to your liking - let it sit in fridge for the flavors to merry before serving
