DIY Pressed Flowers in a Floating Glass Frame Craft

I love seeing the pretty flowers on our neighborhood walks and hikes, don't you? Maybe that's why I adore making pressed flower crafts. This past month we've made pressed flower wooden trays and moon and star contact paper suncatchers. And today I'll share some lovely pressed flower glass frames that the boys and I made. These came out so pretty, I think they'd be perfect to keep, or give away to someone special.

Cute Clay DIY Air Plant Troll Pots

Hi friends! Many apologies. It's been a long time since I last posted. Let's just say that the pandemic and other personal projects have really worn me out and I've found it difficult to find the time and energy to craft.

One thing that I have done to get me through these difficult times is watching houseplant and succulent videos. I have no idea why, but seeing people talk about plants really soothes me.  So today I'm popping in to share these adorable Clay Air Plant Troll Pots that I recently made. They are adorable and hopefully, they'll brighten your day too!

How to Make a Sculpey Clay Fairy Door

Do your kids love fairy crafts? My preschooler loves the idea of tiny magical people. And since we always have Sculpey clay lying around, I made him a very small clay fairy door. Isn't it sweet? It's now sitting at the base of our stairs and I love the idea of opening it to visit another tiny enchanted world!

Easy and Lovely Paper Strip Birds

Lately, I've been thinking of that Emily Dickinson quote, "Hope is the thing with feathers that perches in the soul - and sings the tunes without the words - and never stops at all."

These past weeks, I've felt moments of sadness, cabin fever, fear, joy, frustration, and also hope. (Oftentimes, all in the same day!) One of the good things about staying home is that the boys and I get a chance to craft and play more. It's nice having more relaxed schedules.

Inspired by Emily Dickinson and Embossing Bird's gorgeous IG feed, the kids and I took some strips of paper and folded them into a lovely flock of colorful birds. Here's how we made these cute crafts!
