Hand holding and kisses

Hubby always reminds me that the "best camera is the one that's on you."  Well, I don't often have a camera on me (hence the rare shots of Chuck nowadays), so I'm thankful that other people do.  Here's a little video that a friend made during a recent park outing.  It was a super sunny and warm day, just perfect for splashing in the fountain with a good friend.

I'm so thankful that I get to witness special moments like these.

Today our family of six returned back to a group of three.  Now the apartment feels a bit too large and quiet.
We miss everyone already.  Now who's going to sing "Dingle Dangle scarecrow" with Chuck?

What's up, Chuck?

Guess who struggled with a cold, teething, and a tummy bug?
As you can guess, Chuck and I stayed indoors for most of the week.

Here are some photos (and a video- ooh!) of the little guy playing at home.

Little Masseuse

Baby Chuck heard that Nana liked getting massages, so he's practicing for when she visits us this April.

We ♥ music class

You know when you're in the middle of doing something you love.... and you just don't want to stop because you love it so much?  That's how I feel during our weekly music classes.

Seeing the kids' responses to the music just makes me so happy.

Special thanks to quick thinking Elizabeth for capturing this special moment on her iPhone.

Landfill Orchestra

I don't usually post on the weekends, but I had to load this video up.  It's beautiful and hopeful and inspiring.

Boogie down

Sometimes when he's eating, Baby Chuck busts out a move or two.
It's really cute.
But you can't blink or else you'll miss it!

Walking around New York

Tired of being carried and pushed around in the stroller, this little guy wanted to experience the streets of New York on his own two feet.

What's up, Baby Chuck?

Yesterday Baby Chuck was having a blast playing with his toys.
I took the opportunity to take some photos.
He's such a funny little guy.

Future biker?

I think Baby Chuck might become a rough and tough biker.
He's picking fights with balloons...

We like to party

During the Summer, our town hosts small Sunday get-togethers in the park.  They serve free food and drinks.  Plus, they hire a dj to play music.  Week after week I kept meaning to go but something always came up.  This past Sunday Kim, Baby Chuck, and I finally joined the festivities.  It was  a lot of fun.  We ate delicious food, people-watched to our heart's content, and even got roped into a little dancing.

Boy oh boy, West New Yorkers sure know how to party!

Girls, girls, girls

Currently Baby Chuck is a bit fussier than usual.  He's got three teeth pushing through his gums. Plus, we've recently acquired an unwanted roommate.  A mosquito somehow slipped into our apartment and is now feasting on everyone.  I'm doing my best to hunt that sucker down, but she's a slippery one.

I've tried giving Baby Chuck lots of hugs and teething toys to help soothe him.  But when nothing seems to work, I turn to this video to help. Baby Chuck sure enjoys his Korean pop music!

Tiny apartment living

I don't know why, but I can't stop watching tiny apartment videos on Youtube.  It's amazing how people can living in such small spaces!

This man's apartment is probably the size of someone else's walk-in closet!

Reviewing our move: Packing

Hubby and I finished unpacking the majority of boxes this morning.  Hooray!  Right now we're acclimating to East Coast living by eating delicious ethnic food and learning how to drive more aggressively.  We're also reflecting on our moving experience, so I figured it would be nice to write a couple of posts about that.

We packed for days and days.  Although we donated and sold a lot of items, we still had a ton of items to pack.  I packed most of the rectangular items and left hubby with the easy task of packing oddly shaped and fragile things.  (Hee hee, I'm such a good wife like that.)

A couple of boxes here and there slowly grew into tall unstable towers.  Soon we were surrounded by our very own city of stuff.

While we packed, life still went on.

And wouldn't you know it?  In the midst of everything, Baby Chuck began crawling forward for the first time.

Whoa.  Not so fast, spider monkey.
