Mystery Grid Art Challenge

Howdy! Today I'm sharing a STEAM activity that combines art and math.   Put on your creative hats and grab your favorite color pencils.  We're trying our hand at the Mystery Grid Art Challenge!

Think you can conquer the Mystery Grid Challenge?

(Well, read on and find out!)

Mystery Grid Art Challenge- In this fun STEAM activity, players use their art and math skills to recreate a mystery image bit-by-bit.

So...how do you tackle the mystery grid challenge?

First of all, you'll need to print out these two Mystery Grid Art Challenge Sheets.  (Page 1 is the Small Grid and page 2 is the Large Grid.)

In this fun challenge, one person draws a picture on the small grid.  (Remember to keep this image a secret from the other players!)

Then, that person cuts up the small grid into squares.

Then, the first player hands the cut-up squares (face down) to the second player.  The second player will flip over one square at a time and draw the image in the corresponding large square.

(You can also have several people work together to figure out the mystery image.)

See if you've got what it takes to recreate an image piece-by-piece!
